“Madison Bacino can be found comfortably on the corner of classy and kitchy, both in spirit and in practice. A multi-hyphante theatre artist originally from Northern Virginia and currently based in Chicago, she specilaizes in acting, writing, and devising nuanced work that relate to the human condition. With an focus in text based and psychological analysis, she will always have a soft spot for “edgy”, witty, intense, and misunderstood characters. To her: the more complex a is character the better, as she loves the nuance necessary to help ground these characters in their world. At the core of her creations she aims to connect through shared experiences at the intersection the human and the fantastic, never without her signature humor. She has worked in a variety of roles within the field beyond acting as well, including the front of house and artistic assistant at Studio Theatre, and as a social media ambassador for MAX.” — Madison Bacino

Play-creation teams have been curated from an open call for actors, directors, and playwrights in order to minimize typical barriers for underrepresented artists. The project serves as a way to bring visibility to early career artists, catalyst connections and build community ensuring emerging artists put down strong roots in the Nation’s Capital. KLECKSOGRAPHY 2024 is a one-night-only event featuring seven new 10-minute plays inspired by a single piece of visual art in GWU’s Brady Art Gallery. Audiences can visit the Gallery before the show and then take in the 90 minute performance in the historic Rotunda.
